Security Finance - Unsolicited Check In My Mail
The address on the check says: Security Finance PO Box 2408 Spartanburg SC 29304
7/9/18- Came home in the evening and found that I had received mail that was obviously a check. From the window in the envelope, it clearly states that it is a check.
Upon opening, I see that although it is a real check, the back includes wording that it is a solicitation and cashing it or depositing it enters me into a loan agreement.
I do NOT agree with having a real check sent to my home-- one that I did not request-- which is a loan.
It's like the company is setting me up for fraud. I wasn't expecting the check, so if anyone had stolen it, I would not have known. Nothing on the front says that it is a solicitation.
This is definitely not the way to get my business even if I had been interested in a loan. I will certainly research Texas laws regarding products like this because if the practice is legal, it shouldn't be.
Reason of review: Problem with delivery.
Monetary Loss: $999999.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Security Finance Cons: Deceptive practices.
Location: 210 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29306, USA

These companies waste a lot of money on mailing junk to people
Someone stole my mail and cashed the check in my name. So Iโm going through exactly what you were afraid of
OMG- that's horrible! I hope that you are able to sue the company right out of business!
